The Residential Programs are spacious facilities that offer 24-hour care for unaccompanied children in a safe and nurturing home-like environment. Residential facilities are staffed and equipped to accommodate up to 200 children on a daily basis. Although children of all ages can be provided care at the facilities, the majority of the children are between the ages of 13 and 17.
Children in care receive all necessary services that are respectful of the many cultures, ethnic and religious backgrounds while providing the skills necessary for acculturation in the United States. Children participate in a variety of activities including education in a traditional school setting, community outings, and recreation. Children in care also receive clinical services onsite and medical care as necessary through medical care providers in the community. With the provision of on-site services, all children in care are assured of continuity of services. Experienced staff provide children with supervision, education, encouragement, and guidance while the children await reunification.
